Pian del Nasso is situated in a quiet valley 5 km from Piana Crixia beside a regional park with streams and rolling hills up to 600 m high. The tranquillity guarantees a pleasant stay for nature lovers.

In Piana Crixia (35 km inland from the Mediterranean) there are several restaurants, some general food stores, a butcher, a baker, post office and a pharmacy.

Piana Crixia is situated exactly on the border of Ligure and Piedmont 35 km north of Savona and 35 km south of Acqui Terme. Liguria is a coastal state adjoining France (Côte d’Azur) in northwest Italy.The Mediterranean here is called the flower riviera.

We have three holiday lets, each with a fully equipped kitchen. Sheets and towels are provided. Upon request we can provide you with a starter hamper. Parking, central heating, satellite TV and DVD player, wifi internet connection, an oven, microwave and a filter coffee machine. Pets are allowed, after previous comunication. - Smoking is allowed.
The heated swimmingpool (12 x 5 m) with poolhouse can be used by all our guests.

*** Our apartment (connected to our home) has its own entrance, is situated on the first floor and comprises a fully equiped kitchen-living room with satellite-TV, a bathroom (shower, toilet, bidet, 2 washbasins) and a double bedroom. There is central heating and wireless internet access. In the living room a comfortable double sofa bed. On request there is an extra double bedroom available (on the ground floor, with its own entrance).

*** Our cottage is about 75 m from our home and looks into the valley. You have a lot of privacy. On the groundfloor you find a fully equiped kitchen with dinner corner and a bedroom (2 singles). Via an external staircase you reach the first floor with the two connected rooms: the sittingroom with satellite-TV+DVD and a bedroom (1 double bed). The bathroom, only reachable from outside, has a shower, toilet, bidet (very Italian!) and a washbasin. The cottage has central heating. Garden chairs are available to sit outside and there is a little garden house with three more single beds, only to be used during the summer.

Places to Visit

What to do in the region?
Besides enjoying the peacefull nature and the unspoilt environment you can go for walking- or cycling-tours (searching for mushrooms!). You can also make horseriding tours.
The regional food and wine culture is famous and we could write an entire chapter to explore the possibilities, yet we mention the many local festivals and feasts which are helt from May till September in every little village. The central theme is eating and drinking at long wooden tables, after which you can stretch your legs on the dancing floor! Music concerts and local festivals are often part of the country-life during summer.
On top of all there is the lively scene at the Riviera at a distance of a half hours drive with the middle-aged fishing villages, the broad boulevards, the beaches and the Mediterranean itself. For people who love winter sports, there is a little ski-area at a distance of one up to one and a half hours drive (south from Mondovì).
All types of culture are within reach nearly everywhere; in this region towns to visit are besides Genoa (1 hour), Turin (1,5 hours), Nice en Monte Carlo in France (2 hours) en Milan (2,5 hours) the smaller towns like Savona, Acqui Terme, Alba and Asti.
