Appartamento Belvedere is a modern and spacious luxury villa apartment, with pool, just 1km from the beautiful baroque town of Martina Franca - a good-sized town with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and a fascinating historical centre. This independent apartment occupies the ground floor of our family villa which sits on a hill giving it a panorama of the town and the Basilica di San Martino.

Appartamento Belvedere is suitable if you do not wish to be too isolated, being situated in a prestigious, private residential area for local families. It is very well-placed for exploring this unspoilt region of `real` Italy. It is within easy driving distance of many places of interest such as the towns of Alberobello, Ostuni, Cisternino and the beaches of Torre Canne and those on the Ionian Sea.

The apartment is also ideal if you are in Puglia looking for your own `place in the sun` or have to visit the area frequently whilst having renovation work done on your own property, as the minumum stay is just three nights and changeover day is flexible out of high season.

The kitchen has an oven with hood, hob, fridge and dishwasher. The utility area has a microwave, washing machine and freezer. There is also an outside pizza/bread oven for the more adventurous cook.

There are two well-fitted modern bathrooms, each with WC, bidet, hand basin and shower cubicle. The lounge/dining room is spacious and has a log fire with marble surround. It is equipped with a TV and DVD player.

The property is connected to mains water and drainage and, for winter lets, it has underfloor gas central heating and a large open log fire in the lounge.

The garden is equipped with plenty of outside seating, barbecue and swimming pool (approx. 6.5m X 5m X 110cm deep) in a fenced part of the garden, accessed by a gate. It is, occasionally, shared with the family. There is also a full-size table tennis table which guests may use.

The apartment is approximately a kilometre from Martina Franca - a good-sized town with many shops, restaurants, bars etc. and a delightful historical centre with its maze of tiny alleyways and interesting little shops. It is centrally-placed for exploring Puglia.

Appartamento Belvedere has two bedrooms (one double and one twin-bedded) plus a king size sofa bed in the lounge so up to 6 people can be accomodated. We can also accomodate an extra child with a fold-up bed. Both bedrooms have a range of fitted furniture and the main bedroom also has a TV point, if required.

The lounge/dining room is spacious and airy and has ample comfortable seating for 7 or 8 people. There is a TV and DVD player and we have a modest collection of DVDs including some Italian classic films, for the film buff. A selection of English (and some Italian) novels is also available for guests to borrow.

Prices are per week for the apartment. Stays of less than one week are priced pro rata. Please email for availability. Changeover day is Saturday in July and August, flexible at other times or if there are booking gaps in high season. Please ask if you prefer a different changeover day.

A 25% deposit is required to secure booking with the remainder being payable 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.
