Castagni d'Oro B&B in Bagni di Lucca is a beautifully restored 350 year old Tuscan villa in Brandeglio, a hilltop village above the picturesque Val di Lima.

Surrounded by chestnut forests, the village is peaceful and dramatic, with Medieval church and cobbled streets and views of high mountains, it has much to offer for an exciting weekend or more. Artists have been drawn to Brandeglio and the area for many years.

There are two large double/twin guest bedrooms, with en-suite shower rooms and British TV . Extensive breakfasts are included and parking is on a private driveway.

The sun-trap terrace with table, chairs and parasol is ideal for a relaxing glass of something cool and the flat, level garden with tree-shade and wonderful views is great for topping up that tan.

Bagni di Lucca is only a 15 minute drive away, with bars, restaurants, shops, tennis courts, thermal spas and swimming pools.

Lucca is 40 minutes away with its Medieval city walls, quaint streets, concerts and markets.

For beaches, Viareggio takes an hour but is well worth the effort, and for skiing then Abetone is only 45 minutes drive up into the Appennine mountains
