L’AIOLINA is a rambling 16th century farmhouse, situated on a hillside below chestnut woods and surrounded by walnut trees. The old house looks out across olive groves and vineyards to distant hills - views that have not changed in centuries. In renovating the house we have created six comfortable apartments, and we have aimed both at preserving the character of the old building and to use throughout the finest local materials. The handmade furniture, the wood, iron and stonework, are the products of craftsmen from surrounding villages; we have tried to ensure that the quality of the apartments would match the expectations of a discriminating clientele. The elegant swimming pool (6x12 m.) has been tastefully landscaped in harmony with the surrounding countryside.
