Porcigliano is a private country house offering a bed and breakfast accommodation where you will find a friendly atmosphere and a warm hospitality.
It is located a few kilometres away from Florence in a beautiful landscape, at 450 mt altitude, just out of the small village of Polcanto.
When our family bought Porcigliano in 1999, it was in terrible disrepair. Since then we have restored the house which originally was built on the ruins of a medieval tower, using only local and environmentally compatible materials.We have personally followed every phase of the restoration down to the last details.

There is a kitchen/breakfast room where we will offer a rich continental breakfast with most of the products coming from local organic farming and during the warm season breakfast is served in the garden.

There are many lovely corners for relaxing or picnicing in our country style garden, the view is charming and the air full of scents.

Several typical tuscan trattorie are in a short distance or in case a supper can be prepared at home cooking together a dish using the products coming from our kitchen garden

On the first floor there are a welcoming, sunny living room with terrace over the garden, and for our Guests three double rooms.
The rooms are spacious, cosy, with very comfortable bathrooms and a beautiful view over the valley.
Each room has its own style, and it has been furnished with old family’s furniture. We have provided all rooms with wood beds and natural wool mattresses and pillows.

Porcigliano is the ideal starting point for visiting Florence, cities like Siena, San Gimignano, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca and exploring the Mugello, an attractive territory rich in history, art and nature.
