Once owned by the Merz family, Villa Merz was appointed by Milanese aristocrats as a summer residence and weekend haven, away from the hustle and bustle of Milan. Many original features have been retained as part of the careful restoration, including the marble and iron staircase and ceiling cornicing. The restoration was sympathetic to the original charm of the villa while creating bright and airy interiors, complemented with modern furnishings and facilities.

Spread over two levels of living space, the villa can easily be shared between friends and families. The main living area and breakfast room is spread over the loft area, whilst the first floor offers balconies overlooking the lake shoreline across to Tremezzo and beyond.

The swimming pool is hidden amongst the mature parkland, thoughtfully situated to gain the maximum hours of sun, so you can enjoy a refreshing dip or catch the last rays of sunshine into the early evening.

Interior design
Upon entering the villa the space is divided between the living and sleeping areas, with the marble staircase leading to the first floor separating the two spacious master en suite bedrooms and up to the second floor where the living space is situated on the loft level.

A range of French windows open up to provide a country feel to the villa, immersed in the privacy of its own parkland.

A total of two bathrooms and one service room complement the bedrooms, along with the breakfast corner and lounge which offers living space in the loft level.

After a day exploring, enjoy a special evening in the original wine cellar with a personal sommelier and chef to discover the flavours of the regional lake delicacies.
