The apartment, with its stupendous view over the golden triangle of the Lake Como (Bellagio, Menaggio & Varenna), is positioned on the hillside, 1.5 km above the historic town of Varenna and just below the small village of Perledo. The apartment can accommodate up to 6 people - there is a masterbedroom with double bed, a second bedroom with single bed which opens up to two and a double sofa bed in the lounge. The living area is arranged as open-plan with a stylish, contemporary kitchen, dining area and lounge with wide, flat screen TV. There is a wide balcony off the living room from where you can enjoy the incredible breathtaking views of the lake. The bathroom facilities include a shower, WC, bidet, handbasin & washing machine. There is a private parking space close to the apartment for our guests. Varenna is one of the most picturesque towns on the lake, its steep winding alleys lined with charming homes, flowering balconies and lace-curtained windows. Just above it is the ancient Castle of Vezio where Theodolinda, Queen of the Lombards, is said to have died in the 7th century. Two famed villas to visit here are Villa Cipressi, with terraced gardens cascading right down to the shores, and Villa Monastero, a true showcase. Skiing in the area is bountiful with resorts such as Madesimo 1.15 hours to the north and the local ski resort of Piani di Bobbio, only 40 mins away.
