Set on the foothills of Mount Etna near Piedimonte Etneo, Villa Ama offers magnificent views of the sea, Taormina and Etna. Beaches are within easy reach while the baroque gems of eastern Sicily can be explored in relatively nearby Siracusa, Noto and Ragusa. Taormina with its Greek theatre is just 20 minutes away.
For food lovers, the wine-producing hill towns of Etna have charming restaurants in a rural setting, while Taormina offers more sophisticated dining and entertainment, including an international film festival, further afield Ragusa offers Michelin-starred dining.
Lying between the mountains and the sea, Villa Ama is nonetheless within very convenient reach (40 minutes) of Catania international airport.
18-hole golf course within 20 minutes of the villa and all of Sicily's rich, eclectic architecture is reasonably accessible.
