The building has been renovated carefully according to the original shape and is situated on the top of a rock that dominates the valley underneath. The wide valley is surrounded by many stone terracings that, together with the structure of the castle, revive memories of ancient times.

The hotel is surrounded by a private park and fenced by oaks and cypresses, which alternate with many green areas. Here there is a nice swimming pool of irregular shape (6x10 ms), dug into the rock in front of the main tower entrance with Roman staircase (the tower is open from 15th May to 30th September).

"Il Castelluccio" has six rooms with private bath, provided with all services and comforts and offers its guests breakfast, lunch and dinner. The farm complex is located in a strategic geographic position: 5 Km from the A1, 20 minutes from Florence.
For people that love trekking there are many roots, it is also possible to travel by mountain bike for the well being and the physical physique and for mental relaxation. For those that prefer to play golf just 15 minutes away is an International course with 18 holes with a field and master instructors for car members on request. (Golf Poggio dei Medici).

There is a tennis court with fields on beaten and synthetic land and with teachers available for private lessons located on the tennis court.
There are various solutions for equestrian lovers, there is a horse-riding centre specialized in dressage and jumping. If there are children wanting to ride a pony, a pony is waiting for them to learn how to ride and enjoy himself or herself.

Siena, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, and Montalcino the Tuscan coast is easily reach. For sport lovers, apart from the swimming pool, mountain biking and bowls there other things to do within the neighbourhood.
The proximity of Florence will make your stay unique and unforgettable in terms of the many art attractions and nature trips.

Outside of the boxed off and no parking area lies innumerable sensations of the countryside for which it is possible to reach close to the enchanting mountain fountain, hills above the village, forests of oaks and chestnut trees with the possibility of seeing rare wildlife and wild flower species (roe deers, buckskins, wild boars, foxes, hawks, herons and flamingos).
La valle del Mugello then offers the chance to access museums that are curious and interesting: Museo dei ferri taglienti di Scarperia, Museo della civiltà contadina di Casa d'Erci, Museo delle ceramiche Chini, Museo della pietra serena di Firenzuola.
Just 2 Km away from the farmhouse there are the clean shores of Lake of Tuscany completed after 25 years of unique techniques of natural engineering and destined to become one of the most important green national and International tourist attractions in Tuscany.
The lake offers various beaches equipped with bathing, boats, canoes and kayak for excursions along the infinite and fascinating shores that cross forests and hills, equipment for water sports (windsurf, sailing boats).
The shores are also alive at night due to the presence of various bars positioned directly on the beach providing every comfort, restaurants, snacks, and pubs, American bars; outside parks and nightclubs open till the morning.
