Typical 1700's farmhouse on the Tuscan - Umbrian border, in the green heart of Italy, sits in almost 3 acres of private grounds, with a swimming pool. Views of Mount Cetona, Citta Della Pieve and a magnificent panorama overlooking the countryside of Tuscany and Umbria, that are said to be the best views in the area.

The entire first floor is now a large exclusive self-catering apartment, sleeping up to ten guests, with its own private independent entrance. The private swimming pool is adjacent to the property and is for your sole use during your stay, as are the surrounding tranquil grounds.

The area is perfect for walking, cycling, horse riding and exploring the nearby medieval hill towns with art treasures of a bygone era. Have a day sampling the wine and local olive oil, participating in festivals or shopping at designer outlets before returning to the swimming pool, refreshing yourself before your alfresco evening meal under the pergola or experiencing one of the many local family run restaurants, just minutes away.

Rooms

The entire first floor is available for your private occupation, accommodating up to 10 persons, over 3 double bedrooms, and a fourth bedroom with two single beds and a foton all with wardrobes, bedside tables, lamps, and en-suite shower rooms.

In the sitting room or fifth bedroom : There is a bed settee and wardrobe, desk, TV, DVD player, radio and it also is en-suite. For those who want a lazy day or early birds waiting their friends there are a selection of DVD's, books, games and puzzles for your enjoyment. There is also a cot that can be placed in most rooms.

Kitchenette-dining room is fully equipped, for a homelike stay, with gas cooker, sink, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery, saucepans, tables and chairs, high chair, fully equipped for 10 persons, for "home" cooked meals, take aways, snacks or just coffee.

Facilities

The 10m x 5m pool has a large non slip terracotta patio area, complete with loungers and umbrellas, available for guests exclusive use while staying in the apartment. We ask that children be accompanied at all times as the pool is unattended and the shallow end is 1 metre deep with a drop off into the 1.5 metre deeper section. Naturally the pool is wonderful to cool off during the hot sunny days we enjoy here in Umbria and if you require towels for use by the pool, they can be provided on request.

Places to Visit

Situated on top of a lightly wooded hill the views include the medieval town of Citta Della Pieve and distant Mount Cetona to the South West. Only 6 km from the A1 motorway access and main train station at Chiusi we are positioned on the Umbria and Tuscany border with northern Lazio just a few Km south. Ideally located for exploring the historic local towns, churches, lakes, mountains, vineyards and the many fairs and events locally.

Rates

£1800 per week for the entire apartment for up to 10 persons.
