Lovely photo's Sabina!

Sabina

weather

At this time of the year...it's fairly typical of central Italy...occaisional heavy frosts in the morning and definitely chilly at night, but by lunch time anything between 12 and 15°.  Today it has been raining on and off all day - and there is usually a 1-3 week period during the winter when we get lots of the wet stuff....but it can be glorious blue skies (but nippy) for weeks at a time.  Jan and Feb are the worse  months weather wise...

Stunning

Fabulous photographs. Have you ever been to Casperia? Fantastic car-free village NE Rome in the Sabina.

Casperia

I know it well!  In fact, one of the photos I posted is of Casperia! As you undoubtedly know, it is probably the "ex-pat" centre for the Sabina...but that said, the foreigners are well integrated into the local community and there is no sense that they are trying to recreate "home" on foreign soil.  A few expats....Americans, Danes, Dutch, German and others - as well as Brits, live there permanently, but many just have a holiday home there
