Ok - Here is Annec's question and clues
who hid under a weighbridge to escape? There's a Marche connection and the answer is actually in the old forum (for a fiver)
He wrote a book. It happened in the province of Fermo. The book was translated into Italian in 2005.

Annec has issued the following statement
