B & B in Venice

I am planning to drive to Venice in September ( I live in the province of Piacenza) and due to the high cost of hotels I am considering staying in a B & B. I am only planning to stay the one night and that would be a Friday night. Can anyone recommend such a thing.

thanks

B & B

We had a great stay for a few days last September in a b&b called Oceano Mare. It is in a quiet part of town but only a few minutes walk away from the massed throng of tourists that populate Venice all year round. We chose it from the Tripadvisor reviews and we'll probably stay there when we go next time. Soon I hope.

Where to stay in Venice without breaking the bank

Three years ago we spent a long week-end in Venice and, horrified at the prices hotels were asking, searched the internet until we came up with www.venicenice.com. At the time (May 2008) a very pleasant apartment for 2 – made up of a very large kitchen/living room, a bedroom and a shower room – with its own piece of garden at the back cost us €100 per night. It was just a short walk from the “Giardini della Biennale” vaporetto stop, or a 15 minute brisk walk from S. Marco. On your way to S.Marco, behind the apartments, is a floating market where we would buy our food.

Ca' Dalisera

We have stayed here a few times. Inexpensive, clean, en suite bathrooms in all rooms, around the corner from Harry's Bar, and a minute and a half walk from St. Mark's.  Here's the web site:
