Hi,

Does anyone know the standard fittings that are used to connect gas bottles to your BBQ?

Having lived in 5 countries in the last 8 years, I've come across many and now have a drawer full!

Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding :-

1. Where to buy the gas bottles?

2. What adapter will fit the gas bottle to connect to the BBQ?

 

In Denmark, where I'm living just now, we get the bottles from the local petrol station - pay a very high price (80 UK Pounds) for the 1st bottle and then only 15 UK Pounds for the refills / exchange afterwards.

Hi JD

I see you are off Qatar, greetings from Kuwait.

It will depend whether your BBQ takes Butane or Propane, however both can usually sourced from your local petrol station for about €25 for a large bottle. If you should not have a suitable regulator in your collection, then your local small hardware store will have one to suit.
