Does anyone know whether it is possible to get a ferry crossing from Catania to Reggio Calabria? 

I have done the crossing from Messina to Villa San Giovanni but I am looking for other alternatives without having to drive.  

Also, is the train station close to the Villa San Giovanni ferry terminal in Messina?    Since Ryanair decided to pull the plug on Lamezia we have had to look for other alternatives to fit in with arrival/departure times to avoid having to take 2 flights to get to Lamezia.
