Hi Roy, I know what you mean about Calabria. We bought in Scalea this year and are having our apartment renovated at the moment. I think the problem is access. We fly into Ciampino and drive down normally but have also taken the train. Flying into Lamezia isn't an option for us because we fly from Liverpool. Getting to Stansted is a nightmare. Ryanair have very good specials on at the moment. You have to book before midnight tonight but can travel until March (except over Christmas time). regards, Lynn
