sulmona red garlic
Its for sale now for planting around Christmas or earlier and I can really recommend it for UK gardens too! We had a fantastic crop despite the awful summer this year.Buy it while you can!
If anyone is near the town of Scafa there is a wonderful shop selling plants,seeds and everything agricultural on the main road from Popoli ( not the autostrada the back road) Across from them is a great veg and fruit shop which also sells all sort of local cheeses and preserved funghi / olives etc. This is where I buy the garlic but I'm sure there are plenty of other places.
