Your Italy Magazine Blog
Blogs (a word derived from web and log) are online diaries where the blog author can share thoughts, opinions and ideas with others.
Now every member of the Italy Magazine forums can have their own dedicated Italy blog!
Blogs are meant to simply add another dimension to the way our community can interact.
While, the forum paradigm with threads is excellent for a discussion it is at times not the most appropriate means for more long-running story telling or reporting and does not afford any person the driving seat behind an issue.
A blog is the place where you are the star! A place where you can express your views and/or opinions in some more length and create your own categories rather than being constrained by the forum topics.
You can let people know how that house restoration is going, or how the holiday in Italy went, share pictures of your cats, show off your gardening skills, and generally anything Italy-related that you feel is worthy of (and suitable for) publication
.
You set the agenda.
If you are an expert in a specific field (from holiday planning to the finer details of closing a property purchase in Italy) this is a place for you to share that knowledge with the community.
Please keep in mind that all the usual Italy Magazine rules apply to blog posts as well.
So please step in, have a look around and if you feel inspired pen your first post!
PS: This is a newly introduced feature so expect a few changes here and there as we try to make things more comfortable for you.

Ronald,
It will be interesting to see your view from this side of the fence 'so to speak'.... and to have the opportunity of knowing a little more about you AND any others who choose to share their thoughts from the driving seat of their own blog.Posted 03-09-07 at 10:28 AM by Carole B

I don't think I would have ever got involved in the forum if I hadn't moved to Italy.
Is this my invisible 'umbilical cord'?
Our need to keep in touch with others of our 'species' that have relocated and where we will give and receive advice, join in 'play' and not be alone.
My partner has no need for such forums/blogs - it would be interesting to see the ratio of Male/Female forum members.
Do females have a greater need to stay in touch?
