There is also MerkaUsato, (on via Manna, just off the via Soriano - the road with the big BMW place and also the Supermercato Geniale) in Sant'Andrea delle Fratte. I don't have a map to hand, but if you find the SS220 road, turn off the Perugina factory roundabout just after the entrance (very well signed!) to the SexyShop - it is better than the others you have mentioned. (The second- hand furniture shop, I have no opinion on the SexyShop!)
Also, in Ponte Felcino, there used to be (maybe still is) a place labelled Istituto Vendite Giudiziarie, where they have bailiff taken goods.

Hi I have an apartment in Venice full of art deco furniture which needs a good home as I am moving soon and don't want to take it with me. Anyone interested?

Default Furniture

.
I have the extreme pleasure every time I'm at our house to visit a true antiques junk man in the hills outside of Montefalco. He's always got fabulous pieces and the poking through large store rooms filled with stuff from many centuries is an adventure. These are things with true history that you may have to do a bit of work on. I've got a beautiful madia dough chest which was reclaimed by me from "stored in a chicken coop for 100 years" condition. Message me for the inside scoop on how to find him if you are interested.[/quote]

So seem to have lost the knack of pm since site changed ( please advise you you know), if you can please let me have the details on how to find this furnishings treasure
Regards Lin

Hello, We are looking for furniture for our house in Umbria and will be very grateful to learn the location of the 'antique junk man' near Montefalco.
Many thanks

Do a search through Google using the words "MERCATINO USATO MONTEFALCO UMBRIA" and you get a few addresses to follow.

P.S. It must be google.it, the Italian site

that's my quote listed above
I don't have specifics on how to reach the antiques man but I hope you'll persevere and be amazed at his treasure trove.
First - try to find him at the Sunday market in Pissignano - 1st Sunday of the month. It's between Foligno and Spoleto on a by-road near Campello Clittunno. Go early and look for Arrigo. He'll have the most interesting/oldest things. If you find him, get yourself invited up to his warehouses. Or the rough location of his place in Montepeppinno on the crest of the hill outside of Montefalco heading back in the direction of Bevagna. It's a windy place with an out look over the plain towards Assissi. There's a motorcycle shop on the corner, then his fenced in yard with modern-ish warehouses as ground floor of 3 storey residential palazzo. He's usually coming home in the early evening 6-7, not there before. Again ask around for Arrigo. You can say "la americana -amica della signora Maria l'ha mandata". Good luck. it's worth the effort.
