Cristiana

With respect, you missed my meaning when I addressed you in my post yesterday.
You should be above ill-measured comments and attempts to score points.

I do not need your advice to read something carefully, as a MA in education, I can!

I believe that paulnewman’s experience was not typical and his assertion that you can not get residency without a contract is just plain wrong information. I also believe that new people, coming to this site might well be mislead by what he was saying and it might confuse them and put them off the country. The fact that he referred to Italians as ignorant is not a pleasant thing to read.

I also believe that the strength of this forum lies in people with experience being able to advise new comers and to answer questions. In fact I believe that had paulnewman asked the forum about the problems he was having, he may well have got good advice and the outcome may have been better.

I further believe that when someone posts something which is mistaken it is right for more experienced members to set the record straight.

In the end it depends whether this forum wants to promulgate misinformation or not.

doubt if many would disagree with that statement.

However, one should always consider the manner in which you tell them they are wrong - sometimes people can be a trifle harsh in their responses.
