Default Vodafone And The Dropping Of Roaming Charges

I see that Vodafone here in the UK are dropping their roaming charges to European destinations as from June 1st.

Does anyone know if the same is true of Vodafonne Italia and if it is which sim card is better to use then value wise, bearing in mind the Italian Government’s tax when you charge up Pay As You Go???

Hi Sally,

I thought that vodafone Italia had already done that a long time ago? Not sure as i have a Italian number and a uk number for when i visit the uk. Take a look at their website www.vodafone.it or here is an english version (vodafone one nation) http://demos.vodafone.it/omnitelazie...8_V1N_ingl.pdf

Tim also have a similar offer (TIM - Home Page) but you have to pay a small yearly fee. (also read the small print)

The top up tax was abolished last year (or even 2 years ago?) so when you top up 10 euro you get 10 euro's of credit.
