Just select your Province using the drop down list on the upper left of the page, then type in your Commune below. Hit 'inizia ricerca' and you should get this years rate come up as a table.

You can compare this rate to last year's by hitting "Aliquote I.C.I. anni precedenti ", just above the table.

If the rate is unchanged [mine is, but the 'prima casa' rate for my commune has dropped] you can just pay the same as last year

Hope this helps.

.
Now that Berlusconi's government has abolished ICI on "prime case", does anyone know what is classed as "luxury houses", and are all villas excluded from the new regulations?

I popped into the local comune to check if I had to pay ICI 2008 and was told that a prima casa for a resident di not have to pay unless it was categoria A/1, A/8, A/9 or curioulsly if I had a garage. Good thing I don't have a garage. I pay my refuse tax in Casentino, Tuscany at the end of September, I don't know if Puglia is any different ( answer for the question put by resident in Puglia) I just hope they don't decide to put up the refuse tax to make up for the reduction of the ICI tax!!!!

rosietat

just to clarify your statement as regards garages... this is for a separate garage that is not part of your main residence... ie if in town a you might well have bought a garage separately to house your car...or whatever.... a house with its own garage attached or not within the main residence is not going to effect ICI payment... and in fact there is some debate still if there will be any ICI to pay on these sorts of utilitarian buildings anyway...

also anyone who jumped the gun and has already paid ICI for 2008 will be entitled to get it back... prima casa that is

Ours didn't come up either, even under the province, but by going on to the local Comiune site we managed to find this years rate, which are actually the same as last year.

Default Rifuiti tax

Our refuse tax bill arrives at the end of September in Tuscany, and can be paid in installments.
