Christmas Shopping Trip

Can any one make some suggestions as to where I can take a large group of friends for a christmas shopping trip? I already plan to take them to Tods and Tombolini and some markets, but I have been asked where they can buy fine linens, diaries and wallets.

They are flying with ryan air, but have booked sports bags, so should be alright for weight!

Also does anyone know a vineyard and olive oil producer that would ship to the uk?

Fine linens, diaries and wallets...may i suggest Ascoli Piceno. Perhaps you can PM Bruno and he can name the shops to go to. The town it's self is worth visiting. He is likely to know oil and wine shippers too.

We try to do the shoe shops when we are over in Italy and have found some great places (eg Geoxs) but so far have not found where the Tod's outlet is.

tods is on the sp239, on the road from falerone to civitanova, take the 239 to CV, and at the second roundabout look for a large white building on your left hand side thats TODs, there is a gas station about 500 mts after this roundabout so if you get lost ask them ............good luck

the Thursday market in PSG has a pretty good combination of genuine and fake ... though the bag/wallet guy comes from Falerone which may be cheaper.

Depending on when your guests will be here there are a couple special markets just for Christmas here in Ascoli Piceno, plus there is the monthly antique market. I have been to some of the shoe outlets up near Porto San Giorgio and they can be tricky to find plus you spend a lot of time driving around from one to the other.

Nazareno Gabrielli at Cisterna, Tolentino (near to Tombolini) usually have a selection of diaries and wallets as well as many other leather items.

PS: don't forget that Tombolini usually have a reasonable selection of linens in the basement.
