1. It's not over run by tourists.
2. Piemonte boasts some of Europe's most breathtaking landscapes which take the form of vines and rolling hills therefore making it ideal for those who enjoy sporting activity such as trekking, horse riding and cycling. 3. The blue waters, the attractive coastline and beaches of the Italian Riviera are less than an hour away. 4. Piemonte is home to some of the world's most respected award winning wines such as Barbera, Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, and Asti Spumante among many others. Piemonte also produces two thirds of Italy's rice and a host of superb fruits and vegetables. Its exquisite white truffles are world famous. 5. Piemonte is a territory with extraordinary natural resources, where the passing of centuries has left an indelible mark: an extremely valuable architectural and artistic heritage that goes from Roman remains, through various style, to Liberty and contemporary architecture. 6. This region has one of Europe's most elegant old cities in the shape of Turin, a monument to cafe society. 7. Alba and Bra, Asti and Acqui Terme: towns which are the focal points for an area comprising hundreds of small villages, each of which has its own distinguishing feature, may it be a product, a viewpoint, or a castle. 8. Virtually every weekend throughout the year, villages hold events and festivals re enacting historical events or celebrating local food and wine. 9. The regions of Langhe and Monferrato are well served by airports and public transport. In fact, the region of Piedmont probably has some of the best air links in Italy. If you're flying from other parts of Europe, the USA or the rest of the world there is sure to be an easy route. 10. This is a land of Roman and Medieval hilltop villages, endless slopes of multicolored vineyards, heartbreakingly beautiful landscapes of steep valleys and hilltop Castles with the distant snow-capped Alps as the back drop Last edited by Agriturismo Verdita; 02-04-09 at 02:39 PM.. |

Humm my spam detector is silent but my ‘Oh God we need some bookings’ detector is whistling away nicely.
Times are hard and who can blame anyone for a little plug for their part of Italy? ![]() |

Unfortunately ( or fortunately) I think that we could all come up with ten reasons to visit our part of Italy. Many would be the same. For example all these are here in Abruzzo too:
heritage wine fritto misto, agnolotti, chocolate architecture mountains countryside aperitivi andare a spasso ( that's my daughters' favourite) family and friends and I could add Beaches and the seaside Skiing in the mountains Castelli pottery Arrosticini Scripelle National Parks Wolves, bears, chamois Alba Fucens The Capestrano warrior Castles It will always be a problem for anyone involved in the tourist business, in whatever way, to big up their part of Italy without it appearing to be ‘advertising’. |

The only thing I wanted is to bring some life into this part of the forum ...
But it's true that wherever you go in Italy, you'll always have a lot of things to come for. We're all part of a magnificent country and maybe that's the main reason to come to any of the regions ... because we're all in Italy ... |
