Default Our local fish shop

We live in Monte Vidon Corrado in a village of 800 inhabitants, and all became very excited when a new fish shop opened in the village ( we now have 8 shops!) If you are close by or passing it is well worth a visit (the owners live in Porta San Giorgio so the fish is fresh) along with a good wet fish counter and the fried fish on Fridays and Saturdays they also do the most delicious home made dishes to take away of sea-food salad and one I tried today of a fish soup, tomato with a touch of chilli and prawns, plus other fishy stuff I couldnt identify. A treat. Eaten with a crusty bread dipped into it, one of the best dishes around. Do give it a try.

I am not really into fish, Angie but I admire new entreprises opening up and the fresh local produce readily available. Yes lucky you.

Hi Angie

We have a place just outside Amandola ( near the Fermo road). We are non meat eaters but love fish. there are no fish mongers near us ( unless anyone can tell me otherwise) so will get it a try. Do you know the opening hours?

Adrian

There is a fishmonger in Amandola, just below the garage on the road that leads to the hospital. Cannot tell you their opening times offhand, but they do have a fairly good selection normally.
Also the Maxi Coal on the trading estate on the Communanza road has a wet fish counter as well.
