Default best bread shop ever

in the town of amandola, there is a little bread shop by the name of
IL GIANFORNAIO. the ques are always out the door. they have a few different types of bread, they also have a wide variety of sweet cakes and biscuits.
but what i would always hang out for was the pizza slices made fresh every day. do be careful though, to make sure you get what you want dont wait till closing time at 1pm in the day or at 8pm at night because they sell out fast.
i may be biast after all they are my cousins who i adore and unfortunately cannot see often cause i live in australia, but tell them that rosa your cousin from australia sent you and they will give you a slice of pizza free of charge.

Default Salted Bread

Another good bread shop for those who like salted bread, is the one in San Christophero, on the road to Monte San Martino. He makes a very nice white loaf and also another brown called Faro, which seems to keep longer than most. Faro is only made on Wed, Fri, Sunday though.

Ooh thats interesting Geo - I had heard there was a shop there. Will check that out if they do salty bread. Is it open everyday?
I know the other place Rosa is talking about - delicious pizza slices.

These are the days it is closed!!!
Monday all day.
Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday morning.
Sunday afternoon.
They also very often have a very nice foccacio, that is is lovely and thick, not like the flat leathery ones normally found!!!!
Let me know if you need directions to find it, as not that easy!!!

ah that would explain why when we went searching we only found a place that looked like it had been closed forever..we drove up the rd to san cristoforo from the monte rd - is it hidden away? When you say it is open all day on Tues/Fri/Sat (in an inverted way!) I take it that is for a few hours 8-12ish and then 430 to 6ish?
Thanks, will be really useful, much closer for us than Amandola when we need fresh bread in a hurry.

Cannot remember the actual hours open, as normally go about 9.00 in the morning.
Directions: As you go up the hill to the village there is a crossroads, with a tumbledown barn on the left. Turn left there and at end, is a new house on the left with a farmhouse on the right. Parking is at the front of the new house and that is where the baker is situated.
