Hello Everyone,
If your looking for something truly marchgiani and not bothered about the decor. Then there's a very little known restuarant near Monte monaco, Communza. Its called "il piccolo raunch". If you head out of Communza, take to turn off to Monte monaco. Follow for about 10km until your almost in the mountains, you will then see what appears to be a roadside cafe on the left hand side.
Inside it basic, of course the mandatory TV's in the corner and you might have to share the quite cramped space with some local builders or farmers, but then you will forgive all that when you taste the food.
There's no real menu, but all the food is local and handmade. I would recommend the ravoli with ricotta and nocia, its out of this world. Also cingiale ragu with handmade pasta.
Seconda piatta is normally a mixture of local wild or fresh meats roasted on a spit.
Don't worry about the cost you will pay more than 50 euro's for a family of four including all courses with as much wine as you can drink.
Can't recommend this more as truely one of the last local resturants serving outstanding local produce that tastes as good as any 5 star chef could cook.
