Thought we should share the fact that we have just eaten one of the wonderful meals that are being cooked and delivered to the door of your villa by a couple of local inhabitants of the Sarnano & San Ginesio area. They have a comprehensive menu to choose from and all of the produce is sourced locally and of a very high level of quality, the four courses included a range of vegetarian options, wine, bread and some lovely deserts.

They also make their own free range pork sausages with herbs and less than half the local salt levels and make their own pork pies. We've tried them and think they're fantastic.

We have left our guests a supply of their leaflets as it offers them another option on their break if they fancy a night in.

This service is available for locals and tourists alike- the other traditional Italian take away service, other than pizza, is the pasta frescha shop where you can pick up a variety of freshly made pastas, many of them meat filled or stuffed.

There are 2 such shops in Sarnano- in some towns, including Treia where we used to live, the pasta frescha shop has gone one step further and offer a range of daily 3 course meals for a minimal cost.
