Wink Fritto Misto all'Italiana

Once again Ascoli Piceno is hosting the Fritto Misto all'Italiana e del Mondo from May 1 - 4. The centro storico will be full of food booths offering fried food samples from all over Italy and the world. There will be food and wine workshops each of the days with special taste testings.

I love some good fried food but after a few days of smelling this all over town you can do without for a bit.

Yes, refried oil, even when it is good olive oil starts getting smelly after a while. The problem is that it is very hard to get rid of it as it tends to stick to everything. My sympathies....
