Default Does any one fancy owning their own book shop?

We have the entire stock of our small book shop for sale, as we are returning to the UK.

It is a nice way of earning some money, which is not always so easy here in Italy!
We have approximately 1400 books in English of which 30% are hard back 70% paperback and about 20% ARE BRAND NEW (all percentages are approximate). All are in great condition.

Many were provided to us by Melvyn (Lord) Bragg, from his personal library, and many are signed by the authors.
There is a wide selection of crime, romance, horror, biographies, military, history, cookery, children's, home and garden, self help, poetry, plays, gardening, language, and travel - in short, something for every one!

We have carried out an inventory, and at current SECOND HAND prices, the value of this collection is €8,759,00 (EUROS).
We are selling the entire collection for €3,500,00 (EUROS).

If any one is interested please contact me.
Best wishes,
Nicky

Nicky Hi. If you haven't any luck then try ebay or also advertise for free expatriates.com - the online community for expatriates or Welcome to English Yellow Pages for Italy - your guide to English-speaking businesses and professionals

What about the recently opened English bookshop in Sarnano? They may be interested in buying your stock.

I'm sure there was another longer and more detailed thread about the shop but unfortunately time is a bit tight and I couldn't find it! I'm sure it is there somewhere!

Good Luck!

Me thinks that it is Nicky's bookshop in Sarnano that is actually selling the stock!!

We will try to get there soon, to have a look...................possibly tomoz.........................I noticed passing your martial arts place today, items were set up ready for the browsers? Good luck for the rest of your time here and even better when you get back to the UK (can't recall your daughters name ?).................

Oh dear! Is it really? As the shop only opened a month ago I assumed it was coincidental so did not put two and two together. Apologies for the faux pas.

You could try posting on the Puglia Posse website as there are lots of Brits down there. There`s a library also so, you never know, someone down there might fancy starting up a bookshop. I`d have been quite interested myself if we hadn`t also had to move back to the UK. Good luck with your move.
