Book shop stock:
We have the entire stock of our small bookshop for sale. The books are a mixture of soft and hardback, and of new and second-hand. Many of them were donated to our shop by Melvyn (Lord) Bragg.
Subjects include: Biographies, novels, factual, crime, history, military history, romances, house and garden, travel, children’s, Language, self-help and more.
The books number approximately 1,500 in total, and when priced at the levels we charged (successfully) in our shop in Sarnano, the books have a second hand/resale value of over €8,000 (EUROS)
We are asking for €3,500

Bunk beds for sale
These bunks are strong and durable (they were built especially for us, to be used by adults, but they are suitable for kids). They are in green powder coat, with safety rail and ladder.
These are complete with mattresses (fire resistant and EU British standard approved).
We are asking: €120,00 per set (the beds, ladder, safety rail and the two mattresses).

Vehicles for sale
A Land Rover Discovery (2 series) 2.5 Diesel, 1996, in dark blue.
Good condition, never used off-road and well looked after.
It has a roof rack, stereo c.d., twin sunroofs, towbar, and has had (including us) two owners.
It was bought for €12,000, we are asking €4,500 (we want a quick sale).

A Fiat Uno dating from about one million years B.C., not the prettiest thing you’ll ever see but a great runner.
We are asking for €500

Both vehicles are Italian registered, left hand drive and have their revision (MOT) in place. In both cases, the buyer is responsible for name/ownership change and road tax.

Building for sale
We also have a large timber and steel building for sale.
This has an area of 128 square metres, it is 4 metres high on one side and 3.5 mts high on the other (sloping roof), and is beautiful (it was used as our meditation and martial arts hall). It was built in a modular fashion and is simply dis-assembled and moved. It is complete with an insulated aluminium roof (with guttering) and is completely insulated. It has a timber flooring, and the walls (exterior and interior) are in tongue and groove.

If you are interested in any of these items, please call us on:

Or

Thanks,
Nicky

Now, I am not complaining, I don’t request anything is done by mods and I do wish Nicky all the very best of luck for the future but…….

Someone please explain how one person ‘biging up’ their area of Italy and listing all the good things there could be interpreted as advertising but nothing is said about this?

I've asked a fews times to see if IM would resurrect the "for sale board" but no response.

There used to be one many years ago and it is hardly taking revenue away from the magazine but would be very useful.

Perhaps one of the Mod.s would like to put the question to IM? Do they have more clout?

Oh, so what, why not give Nicky a chance, I have met her and she is a lovely woman, and they are returning to the UK under sad circumstances, it never occured to me to think of this as advertising, just trying to make the best of things, can we not be more generous, think about it it could be anyone of us one day.

Default For Sale!

I also agree. Let's have a for sale section, for all of us whether we're lovely or not!
A rigorously policed weeding out of dastardly shopkeepers, car boot type folk and businesses who should be paying to advertise would obviously be necessary. It would be in all of our interests for this to happen. I'm sure that we're all very aware that it's thanks to advertising revenue that Italy Mag has this forum available for us to enjoy and learn from.
Please Mr and Mrs Moderator. I wanna sell stuff without being called lovely.

Default Honest and well meaning people

Russ, you've been a member for years. You surely remember when most of the posts were advertorials or were signed off with "Agriturismo palle luxury retreat, swimming pool, jacuzzi, nice place for a relaxing holiday" etc. It was all of that that sent me away from the forum and the lack of it that brought me back.
