no,the prices are,i'd say normal market prices. You won't find many/any non retail sites that quote prices because it is not allowed to fix (impose)prices in the EU,so manfacturers will refer directly to their retail distributors, they don't sell on line anyway.

There is a place called Giardino e Tarrazzo situated on the R/H side of the SS16 heading north out of Giulianova towards Tortereto. It has quite a good selection in the showroom.

There's a little place in Marina Altidona that looks like it has a good range, but being a person on little money I bought mine form Ikea & the Brico in Grottamare at the end of the season (if you can wait)

Helen, you are a woman after my own heart! I agree with you totally. When we had to buy our garden furniture five years ago, there was no ikea near by, and we bought all of ours, and subsequent additions from the local fai de te in their clearance sales! Another good place to go at the end of the summer is Emmezeta in Ancona where we have picked up two very large gazebos for 99 Euros each!
Just remember that with the very strong sun any furniture degrades over time - however much it cost in the first place! |

Carrefour recently issued some pubblicita' : a garden special for 25 March to 13 Aprile. Prices are given (!) and there are wood, wicker, metal and plastic models. I think you can download a Pdf brochure as well. No idea about the quality I'm afraid, but might be worth a look if you have a localish branch.

There is a thing known as RRP (recommended retail price) so they should be able to quote that, unless it is only in the yUK. I worked in retailing for over 20 years, so why is it so different here?

A bit off thread but if anyone in Abruzzo has old plastic garden chairs/table they want rid of I'd love it as we have no outside furniture to use while were doing up our place.I'll collect them and pay you something.
Anthing decent would be a waste of money as it would get knawed by rats!! Please pm me if you can help
