Smile Second Hand freezers

Does anyone have any experience of buying second hand chest freezers/larder fridges. We're not fussed about how they look - for the abundance of vegetables we're hoping to harvest!(in anticipation).
Many thanks
Jo

Isn't there some sort of plan to get people to upgrade their old appliances? If there is I'd bet the price of any used one is going to be higher then it's worth.

Just a follow up on what Nick said, as some people might be interested. There is a new replacement subsidy for new A+ rated fridges or freezers which I learnt from a Carrefour publicity leaflet: -20% detrazione up to a limit of €200 per person. It doesn't say whether the seller of the new fridge takes the old, but I assume so, so there wouldn't be lots of cheaper s/h ones in circulation.
