OK black smoke is not pleasant nor environmentally friendly,But if it was just a belch,as is often the case,this is so much more environmentally friendly when compared to badly serviced or very high mileage vehicles.
The black belch is merely an over rich mixture because the turbo cannot spool up as quickly as the fuel is injected,and only happens on pull off.
Where as so many vehicles pollute highly all day and go unnoticed .
