AAAh ! well that might just be the problem as we use Tiscali. We can get the bbc world news , so thanks for that. I also use guardian unlimited for news too so not a problem really , I was curious as to what had happened though. thanks for all the replies. If anyone hears anything further about the dispute with tiscali I would be interested to hear about it. Maybe I should contact tiscali and ask them to sort it out subito !
