Befrienders Worldwide (Rome numbers)

This is an organisation associated with the Samaritans, and supported by the WHO. The above numbers came from a link from the UK Samaritans site, (although I don't know whether they would be able to offer immediate support in English)

You might like to look into joining the organisation as a helper, in which case this is a good place to start.
