Cool Ciạ a Tutti

Hi to all ,
this is my first post just to introduce myself. My wife(Yvonne) and I live to the north of London and last year we bought a house in Limano, near Bagni di Lucca in northern Tuscany. We love the place and the area. I am doing an O.U. course in Italian and can speak it like a native, not.
A presto!

Hi Wayne and Yvonne and a warm welcome to the forum from a neighbour, we are in the same valley. Limano is a beautiful place, we had a look at properties there as well when we were inspecting the region, but we did not find what we wanted and we settled for an old mill in Bagni di Lucca on the Lima river.
Possibly you bought the place through the same agent.... is it Jackie? She lives there with her family.

Hi Wayne, I also have a house in Limano and have been going there for many years. Is your place near the church tower? I wonder if I passed you this summer.

HI Wayne and welcome to the Forum!
I've just finished the OU L195 Andante Course, is this the one you are doing and how are you finding it?

Hi Wayne and welcome

We are a little north of you in Lunigiana. Have tried evening classes (just for tourists though) and Michel Thomas on the MP3 but never thought about OU. Any thoughts on it from anyone would be appreciated.

Coppicer
As I've just stated above, I've just finished the OU Course and thoroughly enjoyed it although there were only two face to face tutorials but there is Lyceum where you can 'meet' up using headphones and microphones to speak to each other. This was the first year for this course and there were one or two hiccups along the way so hopefully most of the problems will have been ironed out now. I think for those living out of the UK it is quite expensive. Check out the OU site for L195 Andante for more information.

Ciạ Adam,
Thanks for your post. Yes we live at 97, in the dip just after the the church. I may have seen you early August, and there was a lot of work going on opposite il campanile (belltower). Is that your house? Will be out there from wed. to monday to work on our new bathroom. Hope to see you soon.
Regards Wayne
