Default A Conflict of Interest?

Not a new concept regarding dott Berlusconi, I know, but here it is, yet again. This time, the dott has been berating some of Italy's industrialists for advertising on the state owned TV channels, RAI. What was his reason? It was because he didn't think that they (the industrialists) should be helping to pay for the state TV channels when they aren't supporting the good dott in his latest crusade: putting state money where his friends pockets are.

For good measure, at the same meeting of business people, the dott also suggested that people should withhold their license fee.

Whilst the good dott wasn't making any comments about the issue, which has already been reported to the Antitrust Authority (again) by Senator Luigi Zanda, his Mediaset spokesman said that he; "doesn't think conflict of interests is an issue for ordinary Italians."

Really?

Maybe he's right. Is corruption in official positions Italian as pizza?

perhaps what is happening in Italy is the same thing that is happening in the United States. The government is trying to subtly make the population dumb, misinformed, and content with watching TV and looking for new ways to entertain itself. Nothing easier for a government than a population that is too ignorant or apathetic to stop it from achieving complete domination of the people. It seems this is being done in both countries through the draining of the higher education system.

Can someone tell me if it is true that there are people in power who want to split Italy into 2 parts? If so, why would they want this. i wouldn't think that the North could survive economically without the south and vice versa,
