I remember that earthquake in Milano too - in fact, I rang my wife to ask if was "normal" for the lights to sway around so much that they hit the walls! I have "experienced" three tremors here now, so am quite used to the feeling (strange) when everything starts swaying.
Italy experiences earthquakes everywhere and it is not a strange fact for the Puglia region to be claiming damage compensation payments. There are (other) regions that are not quite so good at getting the payments to the people affected by the earthquakes though, sadly.
Thank heaven for the Padania Pudding base, is all I can say for us up 'ere in t'north...
