I have discovered that had I registered to vote before the 9 March at my Comune, I could have voted for local The Mayor and the Council Members. When I obtained residency nothing was sent to prompt me to register on the Electoral Roll and I was give misinformation from local Italians...so all in all I left it too late. So has anyone else hoping to vote on the 13 April for their Comune. After the 8 May I can register and when the European Elections occur I can then vote.

I can't say I agree with the point put in the email. Given that we live in a democracy, anyone who doesn't feel that any of the people standing for office represents them has three choices;
1. Stand themselves
2. Vote for the candidate who most matches their aspirations
3. Not vote and stop whingeing.

Slightly off topic, we were walking through Bernalda today, when we heard Berlo propaganda, that if re-elected, he promised to halve the price of fuel, to people of Basilicata.

I wonder how many people brought into that....

That is exactly why e-mails like the one I received are going around , very little confidance in any of the politicians.
