Within days of the horrific murder of British student Meredith Kercher the Italian police had three suspects in jail and looked to have the case solved................With the help of leading Italian crime journalist, Meo Ponte, Cutting Edge probes the evidence against the students and investigates the claims that Perugia is hotbed of students and sex and drug fuelled parties.
It examines why Amanda and Raffaele are still under suspicion and explores intriguing reasons as to why they may have behaved in the way that they did. Amanda's parents explain to Cutting Edge why they think their daughter is innocent, and the heartbreak they experience every time they see her in prison. Cutting Edge from Channel4.com

pigros right... it would be an excellent post in the politics section of the forum ...there is nothing to stop you reposting it there or even asking a moderator to move it....
meantime can only say yes to most of what is written... i tend to admire grillo and yet from past experience of things here hardly trust that he does not have another agenda... basically a dying comedian that is now making money out of new found popularity... maybe not...who knows... we have just had the leader of the lega ambiente and his brother under corruption investigation and if italian parliamentarians didnt have protection from prosecution the list of those that had been convicted would be much higher berlusconi is a good man to have around in that sense... hes an easy target ... who everyone seems to have heard of.....which tends to make it simpler for people like cassini say of the UDC to have very close mafia connections that never get mentioned... he has some very strange canditates running for his party in the south in this election... anyway i think the general approach of the article pretty well gets it right... the problem is not either from the right or the left...

just back from a really depressing view of the exit polls which i find almost unbelievable...
the Italians have given veltroni more votes than ever although berlusconi will most probably scrape it with the lega nords vote... this was on the RAI and they are notoriously unsafe in their predictions.... so maybe there is some hope hope...why do i say that...because Italy has just suffered the worst two years of its history in regards levels of taxation, production, unemployment and general feel good factors...from pensioners to youth it has all been disastrous with the only two people better off in Italy at the moment according to the stats prodi and bertinotti that managed to increase their personal wealth...wonder why by more than any others... and yet... despite this the Italian voters still vote with their same ancient ideologies and preferences rather than use their brains... to me beyond comprehension...
