That is always the problem. It is assumed that something will be debated because of "common knowledge". The fact that it wasn't on the agenda wasn't just an oversight, do you think? A pretty substantial "oversight" if that were the case. Of course, the way that Berlusconi runs his ministers has always been the subject of debate - particularly if you pay heed to any of his ministers in the past that have resigned. Of course, he may have changed now - as in a leopard becoming striped?

Still, the press said a lot - as have the camorra clans...

Here's what he said

Here's what he really means

Here's the solution.

RICICLAGGIO RIFIUTI, L'ULTIMA NOVITĄ SI CHIAMA THOR - Video cronaca LA7.it

Can anyone tell me why this THOR technology has been dismissed as viable in Naples?

The real Thor might (just might!) have a chance..

With the increase in pressure on the clans in and around Naples, Berlusconi is runing a bit of a risk now. Perhaps he was confusing his own PR with the reality that is the Camorra? Well, whatever his driving force, he is now facing some serious opposition to his plans to "Quell the Clans".

QUOTE.......up here in Lombardy, we have been witness to a huge increase of military helicopter traffic. What are they doing, we asked ourselves? Well, it appears that they are creating up-to-date maps of all of the many small gypsy (Rom) camps that are dotted all over the countryside here. What happens next is going to be interesting - although not for the gypsies, I suspect.

Well it's Monday and the diet has begun so skip lunch read the Forum....so depressed by the political news read here, that I want a big slice of cake!!! Donna Leon's latest book Girl of his Dreams describes the plight of gypsies and the workings of Italian politics regarding their fate.

Perhaps unfair to compare SA with Naples regards THOR. SA has 78% mining waste and toxic imported waste to deal with, which causes hazardous emissions. THOR could easily be implemented in Naples to deal with general household waste. THOR can safely deal with approx 8 tonnes of waste per hour and it's very cheap in comparision to the methods currently used. Each THOR unit costs 2 million euro, so it's not expensive considering the cost of current (non) existent methods. It's estimated Naples would require a maximum of 50 units = 100 million euro.

Why will they not consider this system? It wouldn't be because it would put a lot of camorristi out of work, would it?
