Operation Ballbreaker
A wonderful name for a police operation, yes?
It is the name that has been given to the latest move in the fight against corruption and toxic waste disposal in Campania. Several regional political leaders and other businessmen have been arrested after the discovery that the so-called "Ecoballs" - they are (or should be) specially prepared bails of waste material suitable for safe incineration - have been found to contain toxic materials. You will find the name "Impregilo" included in the report as well. Impregilo are the main contractor for the Messina Straits Bridge, which you will have already heard of.
