There has been some really good posts on the forum and some excellent descriptive writing, I especially remember, one members writing on obsevations of the wild boar around his house at night. Does anyone have any positive favourites?

I'll go for Lombardia's posts. They really made me smile and it's a shame he seems to have disappeared - or has he grown up?

Ah Angie you seem to be stealing my thunder!!! I was going to suggest soon a sort of Forum "Oscars" towards the end of the year!!! Nominations.first then poll. I'm still "working" on the catergories. Maybe Ronald could add a little figurine icon to the winners details???

If we are going to have an ‘Oscars’, can we also have an Ignoble prize for the most fatuous post in each category?

Lombardia was great value but destined to crash. My all time favourite is a 'Kerry and Susan' ripost to one of the great Lombardia threads - here feel the joy again

http://www.italymag.co.uk/forums/gen...html#post64264

Sancho is a consistent favourite for compressed humour and Pilchard is up there for sheer enjoyment.

This new chap Abruzzo Home is very interesting, combines good well written information with a bizarre humour that he manages to pull off.

If Lombardia were still here he would say, 'of course I am an excellent poster'

Default Neilo

I was hoping to keep it a positive thread, without any unpleasantness, if you want to digress why not set your own thread up, I dont mind funny, there are some real comics out there, but lets not get nasty, it was supposed to be fun, and a chance for members to remember some of the good stuff. and there has been lots.

As far as I can see no one is getting nasty. It is often the daftest post, which spawns a wonderful witty thread.

Perhaps you misunderstand what I mean by an Ig Nobel Prize?
