Red face Italy to lose 10 kilos of fat and add 5 kilos of muscle

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering what everyone thinks of the government plans to deregulate the lawyers sector (as seen on the front page "Lawyers begin 12 day strike").
Will this encourage a claim culture as it has done in Britain and America?
Will it make lawyers more accessible to the common man?
Will these changes speed up the legal process?
Will business need to adapt and change to accomodate Mr Prodi's changes?
Will it effect British people living in Italia?
Let me know your thoughts.

1. no.
2.no.
3.no.
4. to some extent yes taxes and other akin areas will be under heavy scrutiny.
5. no but the whole purchase process has been revolutionized and the law is now effective all the monies that change hands in the purchase process have to be registered by the notary and in the case of estateagents have to refer to invoices so the unregistered will have a tough time...

Thumbs up

Thanks for your thoughts Sebastiano, While I understand that Mr Prodi wants Italy to come in line with other european countries it would be a great shame for Italy to become a country full of stressed out, overworked, people with little time to spend with thier families and always chasing the next must have accessory.
I suppose it would take more than a few changes to do this and we probably would not see it in our lifetime, but every mile starts with a step.

By the way Sebastiano I had a look at your site and I think you have done a great job with the house, I dont know what state it was in when you bought it but it looks great now.
