Default Climate in Macerata

Could anyone give me an idea of what the weather is like during a year in the Tomassucci / Gualdo area is please?

Are there any areas where the microclimate is to be avoided?

Would especially appreciate input from people who have lived there for a while

Thanks

Phew, well its 39c here today (we are a little lower than Gualdo), so it may be a few degrees cooler up there. I would say it is increasingly difficult to predict the weather, up until a week or so ago we had rain nearly everyday, for weeks, but last year it was scorching from May to September.I think it is much hotter down towards the coast, so for me I would avoid it, also much more busy and built up.Depends what you prefer, you are sure to have snow up in Gualdo in the Winter whereas we are at 420m and usually avoid it. As for micro climate, I would say your weather conditions rely very much on the hight above sea level of your property and if it is sheltered from prevailing winds and weather.

Default micro climates

We are in San Ginesio and its around 35 degrees today. We usually manage to get a cool breeze around lunchtime as well. Being high and close to the mountains it usually means (in winter time) when its cold than rain here turns to snow on the mountains.

We have just missed a storm as well that skirted around and settled over the mountains and we send guests to the beach if its raining here and vice a versa.

hope this is useful
