Question Music Events during July

Hi All,

We will be visiting the Southern Le Marche region between Macerata & Ascoli Piceno from the 22nd July until the 31st (house hunting) and would love to attend some live music events.
Prefer something Indie or acoustic but not too bothered. I cant find too much on the internet or the forum.
Does anybody know whats on?
My girfreind Amanda does love a good dance.

Thanks for the links Sally, but 've already read the thread and most of the events are in early July or August, when were not there. Ferruccio Spinetti is playing in the south of the region on the 25th but this quite a drive from where we are staying in Sant Angelo in Pontano.
I'll try to find more info from the other link.

In looking in the provincial publication, Sensi Piceni, there is at least one musical event every day that you will be here in the Ascoli Piceno province. Unfortunately this is not assessable at one source on line but when you are in the area stop by a local tourism office and ask for a copy.

If you like opera, then the sferisterio in macerata has a great programme for the end of july and into august. This year the main operas are tosca and carmen. check the link on our web site for more info.

Thanks to all,
Tango or Waltz? she'l try anything after a glass of red. Its more jiggling about than anything else.
I have seen that the rock band Europe are playing in Ascoli Piceno on the 26th and i had thought we would miss the San Severino Blues festival. I have now seen there are still a couple of dates when the Blues festival hits Appignano and Treia.
Might get to some of these. To be honest i'm more of an Artic Monkeys fan or something similar. We'l have to see.

Think the opera may be pretty well booked up by now Pat, friends went last week for tickets and there were only a few left, they managed to get 4 for 100e each, and 2 for 40e but not good seats,

Thanks for the info. Thats a shame, its actually Amanda's B'day on the 27th and Carmen is on at the Opera that night. We we going to turn up and see if we could get in.
I didn't think prices would be so expensive though. Then again i've never been to the opera.
Never mind, i'm sure a nice meal will do but we might yet find something else.
