Default Do we need to prove residency so we dont have to pay higher house tax

Hi we have just become residents in puglia and have only 1 month left before our 18month time limit is up to become residents (when we bought we paid only the 3% tax on the property) so now we need to know if we need to prove this to anyone so that we dont get a bill for the extra tax? ie the comune??? can anyone help
thanks

If you have registered as residents of the comune and are on the anagrafa list you should have no problems.

If you have not got your residency go along to the comune and get it now, someone will come and check that you are actually living in your house.

If you need more information there is plenty here, try putting ‘residency’ into the search and loads will come up. Good luck.
