Question How to pay ICI?

Hi!
Can someone just confirm how non-residents pay their ICI this year? Sorry if I'm a bit slow, but can we not pay it at the post office this time?

Thanks,

Sue

Yes, you should still be able to pay in the post office who will have the necessary forms if you have not received one through the post. In some areas you can also pay with CC online.

Try this site - Aiquote ICI - if your comune doesn't show, try searching under the province and failing all else, check on your local Comune website.

I jost visited our kommune last week, had the ICI calculated, form written, and off to the post office to pay. And I could choose wether to pay once or twice per annum.

Ours has always been taken by Direct Debit first week in June but for some reason it hasn't been taken out. Will have to ask why when we go over this week.

So much has been written on this Forum regarding paying ICI this year. Even those at the Comune are confused. In Italy Magazine we were told that To Pay or Not to Pay (for those that are resident) has to be decided by each Comune and home owners who paid nothing in June (Berlusconi's election promise) may well have to pay double in December (their Comune's fault for needing funds)!

Default Ici

In my personal experience, i pay no ICI. This due to the commune. It is my primary residence and i am a resident here. Therefore i pay no ICI.
As part of my work, i complete ICI for non- residents here in the area. They have to pay ICI. This worked out on the m2 of the property. They then produce a giro slip that can be taken to the post office to be paid. If the deeds are in 2 names then ICI will be payable for these 2 people. I personally wouldn't rely on them posting the demands to you, and is always advisable to go to the office in the commune. You know it s right then.

regards
