Default Holiday Home Swap

Several weeks ago we had discussed the possibility of setting up a holiday home swap as part of Italy Magazine to give the opportunity for people to explore other parts of Italy.

Everything is now ready - we just need the homes!

I have set up an easy form for you to describe your home and submit pictures:

http://support.italymag.co.uk/index....epartmentid=10

Once we have collected a decent number (i.e. about 4-5) I will set up the website for it. ONLY REGISTERED MEMBERS WHO HAVE SUBMITTED HOME INFORMATION WILL BE ABLE TO CONTACT EACH OTHER. Others will be able to see the homes but contact information will not be made available.

This service is entirely free. Spread the news and let other friends of your who think would like to swap their home join. They don't need to register on the forums - just fill in the form linked above.

All the best,

Ronald

Smile house swapping an excellent idea

just to say that I do hope this works out, we are curently living in Sicily for 8 months having swapped our home in uk for this one here. previoulsy we have done 20 swaps within the Uk with no problems. Only wish we had a property here to offer...one day...
Good luck with the whole thing.:)

This seems to us newcomers to Italy a really great idea.
When we are more settled I would certainly consider joining your scheme, and good luck with it!
Cheers, P

Default Holiday Swap

This sounds like a good way to discover Italy. We will be moving to Italy next year and we will be interested in this. Good idea well done.

What a brill idea! Did anyone used to watch that programme on TV about home swaps - mostly between families in America and England? It was fascinating to see how different people from very different backgrounds coped with living in someone else's neighbourhood for a while. We'll definitely be joining this once our house is in a fit state to swap!

I don't think the idea for this Holiday Home Swap scheme ever got off the ground cathnmike.

Well, I tried to post my info, but kept getting an error message that one of the required fields was blank...altho I never could figure out which field it was! Additionally, the pictures I'd attached were deleted when I got this error message, so after 2 tries I just gave up! Maybe others had the same problems!

Default holiday home swap

Hi Mike
Would you consider swaps in other countries. We live in France and have just swapped with another gite owner in France - it worked really well. However, we would like to spread our wings a little further. We have visited Italy once before and loved it so much we would like to return sometime.

I'm new to this thread. Are you only accepting Italy to Italy swaps at this time? My wife and I live in Laguna Beach, California USA and would consider swapping for a home in either Lake Como or Lake Maggiore.

Thanks,
Steve
